Roy was born in Charleston, South Carolina on April 20, 1969. He graduated from The Citadel (B.A. 1992) and Thomas M. Cooley School of Law (J.D. 2001). He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 2001. He is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina, and American Bar Associations. His areas of practice include medical malpractice defense, health care, insurance law, employment law, commercial litigation, and products liability.
