SUZANNE R. WESTERHEIM focuses her practice on mediation and lawyer conduct-related litigation and consultation, encompassing all aspects of the relationships between lawyers and their clients, their colleagues, and the State Bar of Texas. A significant component of her practice is the pursuit and defense of grievances throughout Texas and representing clients seeking to be licensed in Texas before the Board of Law Examiners. Ms. Westerheim also consults with lawyers regarding disqualification, legal malpractice, fee agreements and fee-sharing agreements, recovery of attorneys’ fees, conflicts of interest, attorney-client confidentiality, disciplinary and advertising rule interpretation and compliance, and law office practices and procedures. Ms. Westerheim also defends complaints alleging the unauthorized practice of law.
Ms. Westerheim graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. Ms. Westerheim is the author of numerous articles and presentations on legal ethics issues. Ms. Westerheim is a member of the College of the State Bar and the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association. ADR Sections.
