Lisa Michelle Kömives joined BoltNagi PC in 2010 as an Associate Attorney in the Litigation Practice Group. Her practice is concentrated in complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Lisa was an Associate Attorney at Akerman Senterfitt in Miami, Florida, where she specialized in contract and insurance coverage litigation, including class actions.
Lisa grew up in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., and graduated from Antilles School. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College in 1998. She earned her J.D., also cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. While at the University of Miami, Lisa was an Article and Comments editor on the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and a Member of the Moot Court Board. She is the author of Enfranchising a Discrete and Insular Minority: Expanding Federal Voting Rights to American Citizens Living in United States Territories, published in the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review-Fall 2004. Lisa also recently presented at the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Civil Rights Speaker Series, May 2010, on the status of federal voting rights of American citizens residing in the U.S. Territories.
