Rena Thiagarajan is an associate in the Corporate Department at WilmerHale. She joined the firm in 2007.
Practice
Ms. Thiagarajan has experience with complex patent, antitrust and contract matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, she was an associate with the San Francisco office of another large international firm, where her practice was litigation focused. Among other matters, she participated in successful patent cases, and worked on all aspects of a toxic tort case and a multisite environmental case.
Ms. Thiagarajan’s pro bono practice has included representation of a client seeking asylum in the United States.
As a law student, Ms. Thiagarajan clerked with the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law. She was also a member of the Journal of International Law and Business and was co-president of the South Asian Law Students Association. Prior to beginning her legal studies, Ms. Thiagarajan was a drilling services engineer with the Oil Field Services unit of Schlumberger, Drilling and Measurements in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she provided engineering services on offshore oil rigs.
