Mr. Kampf is counsel in the Litigation Department. He represents a number of clients in a wide variety of litigation. He regularly defends construction companies and their insurers in property damage, construction defect and personal injury lawsuits. He also defends various companies, hospitals and universities in premises liability matters. He also handles commercial litigation, including breach of contract disputes between companies as well as disputes between executives and their former employers.
Mr. Kampf defended a manufacturer of hydroelectric turbines in a lawsuit by utility companies for breach of contract. He has defended municipalities against claims by personal injury plaintiffs. Mr. Kampf has defended executives in lawsuits by former employers and brought claims for severance, stock options and misuse of intellectual property. He has defended general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and their insurers in construction defect, property damage and personal injury cases. Mr. Kampf has represented companies in large collection matters where the defendants claim breach of contract to justify nonpayment. He has defended manufacturers of medical instruments and industrial tools in property damage and personal injury cases. Mr. Kampf has defended companies in subrogation claims for property damage. He has represented companies in suits alleging fraud, embezzlement and breach of contract. Mr. Kampf has represented lawyers after the dissolution of their partnerships. He has also prosecuted indemnity actions against insurers and construction contractors for attorneys' fees and settlements. He has handled litigation involving non-competition and non-disclosure agreements.
Mr. Kampf received his B.A. from Yale University in 1989 and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1993. Prior to joining White and Williams, he was a public defender in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and an Assistant District Attorney in both York, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. Warren is currently serving as a State Representative in the 157th Pennsylvania House District. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania. Mr. Kampf is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Mr. Kampf was named in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" attorney by Law & Politics magazine.
