Sarah practices intellectual property law with a focus on patent litigation, using her background in chemical engineering to effectively understand her clients' technologies. Sarah chairs the Women in Intellectual Property Law section of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association and is an active member of the Federal Bar Association. In law school, Sarah was a staff member of the William Mitchell Law Review. Prior to law school, Sarah worked in the quality department of General Mills testing various products and raw materials. During her years as a student at the University of Iowa, Sarah worked in a genetic research lab, assisting in experiments to understand the function and regulation of particular ion channels that are linked to hypertension and cystic fibrosis.
