Paul S. Almen is an associate attorney with Hammargren & Meyer, P.A.  His practice is devoted to construction and real estate issues.  Paul is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Minnesota. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Paul owned and operated a residential/commercial painting and restoration company.  He brings that direct industry experience and knowledge to work for his clients, who include contractors, subcontractors, owners, suppliers and sureties.  Paul regularly handles issues ranging from contract formation, post-contract performance claims, mechanic’s lien, bond claims commercial construction claims, homeowners’ construction defect/warranty claims, and Minnesota Contractors’ Recovery Fund claims.  He has successfully litigated an array of cases by obtaining favorable court orders, arbitration awards, appellate court opinions and settlements.  

Paul received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.  During law school, he served as the Executive Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.  Paul is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.  Prior to joining Hammargren & Meyer, P.A., Paul clerked for the Honorable David Minge and Renee Worke at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
