Following his 2005 graduation from Mississippi College School of Law where he was heavily involved in Moot Court and served as the Editor of the law student newspaper, Mr. Scanlon spent a year clerking at the Mississippi Supreme Court, followed by two years of practicing exclusively in civil litigation representing individuals aggrieved by corporate defendants. He currently serves as general counsel for the City of Byram and the Byram Zoning & Planning Commission. Mr. Scanlon also works as the city prosecutor in Byram Municipal Court, trying criminal misdemeanors and violations of city ordinances. Mr. Scanlon also teaches Appellate Advocacy and Legal Writing as an adjunct professor at his law school. He and his wife Katherine have two children, Connor and Nathan.
