Santee, Richard Eugene

Richard Eugene Santee is a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley and a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem. He presently resides in the City of Bethlehem.

Richard attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in History in 2007. He later received his Juris Doctor degree from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, PA in 2010. While at Temple, Richard served in the student bar association as the American Bar Association Representative.

After graduating from Temple, Richard returned to the Lehigh Valley where he worked as the law clerk to the Hon. Stephen G. Baratta of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas from 2010-2011. Richard joined the firm of Shay, Santee & Kelhart as an associate in 2011. The firm emphasizes litigation oriented matters – civil, insurance defense and personal injury litigation as well as domestic relations and family law. In addition, Richard handles the firm’s estate practice, which includes the drafting of estate planning documents and assisting clients with probate and estate administration issues.

Richard is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also an active member of the Northampton County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

After returning to Bethlehem, Richard became an advisor to the Northampton County Law Explorer’s Post. He also plays percussion with the American Legion Band of Bethlehem during the summer months.
