Shannon began her legal career as a legal assistant in 2001, working for the firm of Evans, Freeby & Jennings, LLP in Salem. In 2004, she joined the Family Law Department of Garrett, Hemann, Robertson, P.C. as a legal assistant/paralegal and worked there before, during and after law school. During law school, Shannon also volunteered with Marion-Polk Legal Aid Service assisting the Family Law attorneys with research and client intake interviews. During her final year of law school, Shannon served as a "student attorney" with the Clinical Law Program, Child and Family Advocacy Clinic, at Willamette University College of Law.
Shannon graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 2010. She joined Harris Law Group, LLC in 2011 as an Associate Attorney.
Shannon has experience with a variety of Family Law issues and truly enjoys her work. She understands that Family Law matters are often fueled by emotion, and believes that it is best whenever possible for the parties to attempt to resolve their issues amicably, especially when children are involved. When faced with an adverse party who refuses to be reasonable, Shannon will advise her clients on the legal remedies available and advocate for her clients through litigation. Shannon's goal is to obtain the results her clients want while making sure they do not lose sight of what is important.
