Leila B. Azari received her B.A., with honors, in 2000 from the University of California at Davis. In 2005, Leila obtained a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. Leila received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2008. At NYU, Leila was a staff editor on the Review of Law and Social Change and also participated in the Immigrant Rights Clinic, where she represented a plaintiff in an employment discrimination lawsuit in federal court.
Prior to joining Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise, Leila was a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins where she focused on complex commercial disputes, securities class actions, and white collar crime investigations. While at Latham, Leila also provided pro bono representation to a plaintiff in a civil rights action and successfully obtained political asylum for a client from El Salvador.
Over the course of her career, Leila has acquired a significant amount of experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, taking and defending depositions, trial preparation, and oral advocacy.
She is a member of the Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and is also affiliated with the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
