Neil is a senior partner with our Commercial Litigation, Health Law and Real Estate practices. He has extensive experience advising clients on regulatory and transactional matters relating to business and professional relationships, including litigating complex commercial and business disputes. Neil litigated the landmark cable television right of way case, Hoffman v. Capitol Cablevision, 52 AD2d 313; motion for leave to appeal denied, 40 NY2d 806.
Neil is experienced in arbitrating complex commercial and construction disputes and represents clients with respect to the purchase, development, financing, sale and leasing of both residential and commercial properties, including handling complex real estate mortgage and personal property security interests, commercial property tax certioraris, foreclosures, evictions and bankruptcy matters. He has represented commercial lenders, borrowers, and developers in substantial transactions including commercial loans, industrial development bond financing, corporate debenture issues, and both New York Job Development Authority and New York Dormitory Authority public issuances. He also represented a substantial commercial bank and trust company with respect to its duties as trustee for securities holders, and as fiscal agent, paying agent, and tender agent in various transactions. Neil has significant expertise in default workouts with respect to both private and public financing.
Neil has lectured on commercial and residential lease drafting and enforcement on behalf of the Institute of Real Estate Management, and has been actively involved with the Ronald McDonald House of Albany.
