Adler, David F.

David Adler represents financial institutions and other businesses in complex commercial litigation, regulatory matters, and internal investigations. He has represented clients in consumer finance class actions, securities class actions, Ponzi scheme and other fraud-related litigation, auditing malpractice cases, and SEC and bank regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.

David's recent representations include: financial institution clients defending against putative class actions concerning the manner in which they assess their checking account overdraft fees; a financial institution client in multiple litigations relating to allegations of aiding and abetting a substantial Ponzi scheme; investment bank clients in litigation relating to their subprime mortgage securitization activities; financial institution clients in mortgage foreclosure-related investigations; a public auditing client in multiple litigations relating to its attest work for a failed commercial mortgage lender in Arizona; an investment bank client in the Enron securities litigation; and financial institution clients in SEC, OCC, FDIC, CFPB, and attorney general investigations.

David also has a business background, having served as president of a midsize manufacturer of metal products. His public service activities include serving on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Ohio, as a vice chair of the Federation's Community Relations Committee, and a member of the Federation's Development Committee.
