Meggan Rawlin's practice focuses on complex commercial and energy litigation in state and federal courts and before state regulatory commissions. She has represented some of the country's largest energy and utility service providers, including FirstEnergy Corp. and Oklahoma Gas & Electric. Recently, she represented FirstEnergy and its subsidiaries in numerous cases arising from the August 14, 2003 Northeast power outage. Meggan has represented clients in other industries in cases involving product liability, professional malpractice, consumer credit, wrongful termination, fraud, and breach of contract claims. She has argued before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals as appointed counsel to a pro bono client.
Meggan is active in Jones Day's Summer Associate Program. She serves on the board of directors of the Federal Bar Association and is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations. Meggan was appointed to a merit selection panel to assist in the selection of a United States magistrate judge. She is a Princeton University Alumni Schools Committee volunteer.
