Pushparaj, Kirupa

Eric Pursley spent his childhood in El Paso, TX, and has lived all over the state since then. He graduated from Allen High School in Allen, Texas as a National Merit Scholar, a member of the top ten percent, an Eagle Scout, and one of two members of the debate team to have competed at the Texas Forensic Association State Tournament.

He then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he spent most of his free time working with and helping to build Foot in the Door Theatre, a troupe associated with the Liberal Arts Honors program, into a self-sustaining organization. In the early days of this troupe, Eric learned the value of being well rounded and willing to get your hands dirty when building organizations, tools he believes were vital to the success of the firm. Eric also worked during college, waiting tables at various restaurants in order to pay his bills. Eric still found time for his studies, however, and graduated in just over three years with Bachelor’s Degrees in Government and Economics.

After college, he followed the plan he created at 13 and attended law school. He chose Baylor because of its reputation for practical education and creating highly competent lawyers. At Baylor he competed in the John Marshall Information Privacy Moot Court competition in Chicago and served as a Barrister in intraschool Moot Court tournaments. Eric’s passions are for litigation and appellate law; he has developed a particular interest in the area of information privacy litigation.
