Phyllis Gaier, along with her late husband Stephen Posner, founded Posner and Gaier in 1996. Phyllis is a graduate of Touro Law School and was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1986 as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts Courts of NY. In 1997, Phyllis was admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Over the last 26 years, she has represented countless people in divorce, child custody, juvenile delinquency, child support, maintenance, and domestic violence cases. As a result, she is highly skilled in all phases of family law.
Phyllis was on the law guardian panel for many years as well, enabling her to understand and work with children whose parents were in the throes of a custody battle. She has dealt with complex cases in all areas of family law, including abuse and neglect.
In her many years of experience, Phyllis has developed a style wherein clients feel extremely comfortable with her while she is aggressively pursuing their interests. This combination has proven to be extremely successful in the negotiation and/or litigation of the inummerable cases that she has handled throughout the years.
