Jeff Patterson is and associate in the Seattle office of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP. His practice focuses primarily on patent preparation and prosecution in the software and electrical arts.
Prior to Dr. Patterson’s legal career, he worked in the field of unmanned space exploration, including missions to Mars and Jupiter. Specifically, he worked on the design, simulation, and characterization of radiation tolerant microelectronics, as well as radiation tolerant avionic, telemetry, data storage, and software-based subsystems for various spacecraft. During his pre-legal career, Dr. Patterson also worked on the development of statistical techniques to analyze large particle scattering experiments and proteomic datasets, as well as the development of the required software-based data-management, analysis, and simulation tools.
Dr. Patterson completed his B.S. with honors in Physics and Mathematics at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He then received his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, researching pion-proton scattering asymmetries in the nuclear regime. He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.
