From his first debate round in fourth grade through national-level success on the forensics circuit and undergraduate studies at Rice University, Cary gained an appreciation for the finely researched issue and the articulately communicated point of view. This drive to communicate effectively is just one factor contributing to the success of his growing practice. Since arriving at the firm in 2001, Cary has participated in the defense of discrimination claims brought against client companies, drafted motions for summary judgment on discrimination and workplace injury claims, and drafted and revised employment policies and seminar books. Cary also practices in the traditional labor law side of the firm, assisting in NLRB elections and collective bargaining negotiations, researching labor law issues, and conducting supervisor interviews for client companies.
Cary's varied employment experience, including a management position in one of Texas' finest restaurants and an internship with U.S. Magistrate Judge Marcia Crone, provides him with a thorough understanding of both the management and employee side of labor and employment disputes.
Raised in Houston and San Antonio, Cary earned a bachelor's degree in English from Rice and a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. He is a member of the Texas bar and licensed to practice in federal court.
