Lucien A. Morin, II, a graduate of Albany Law School (J.D., 1974) and Boston College (A.B., 1969), is a partner in the firm of McConville, Considine, Cooman & Morin, P.C., managing the Bankruptcy and Real Estate practice for the firm. He was admitted to practice in 1975 in New York State, as well as to the Federal District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Monroe County Bar Association (MCBA), and was a past-chair of the MCBA Real Estate Section and the MCBA Bankruptcy Committee. He is past Dean of the MCBA's Academy of Law, and he received the 2000 Raymond J. Pauly Award in recognition of his work with the Academy. He is a member of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors (GRAR) and serves on the GRAR Realtor/Bar Task Force. He was a recipient of the 1998 GRAR Honor Society Award. Mr. Morin has been selected for inclusion on the New York Super Lawyers - Upstate Edition list for 2008.
Mr. Morin has lectured for the Monroe County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Greater Rochester Association of Realtors and National Business Institute on ethics, real estate and bankruptcy related matters.
Mr. Morin is also a member of the American Bar Association as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
On the community front, he is active on the Board of the Perinton-Fairport Dollars for Scholars (having been one of the founding Board Members). In 2001 he was recognized by Dollars for Scholars and received the Chapter's Honor award for Service to the Community. Although his college trumpet playing days are long past, his interest in music continues. He acts as an advisor to the Perinton Concert Band. He is a member of the Perinton Chamber of Commerce (having served as its President).
Mr. Morin served in the U.S. Army from 1970-72 and is Past Commander of the American Legion Brooks-Shepard Post 765 and currently serves as the Post's Legal Officer.
Mr. Morin currently acts as counsel to the Fairport Industrial Development Agency and the Village of Fairport Urban Renewal Agency.
