A sixth-generation Texan, Tyler and his wife Mary of 40 plus years (yes, together they are Mary & Tyler Moore!) have three grown children and three lovely granddaughters. After graduating from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tyler obtained his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law. He immediately joined the Harris County District Attorney's Office where he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies in its Trial Division for over three years. Tyler is an ordained deacon in the Presbyterian Church, served as President of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the American Heart Association as well as chair of the American Cancer Society in Brazos County.
