Mester, Thomas

Pedro A. Medrano is a counsel in the firm’s Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Business Trial Group and Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2003.

Practice

Mr. Medrano has a diverse practice focusing on government and internal investigations, white collar criminal matters, complex commercial litigation, and international arbitration. Mr. Medrano has conducted internal investigations involving a wide range of issues, including allegations of fraud and embezzlement, accounting irregularities, employee misconduct, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations. In FCPA matters, Mr. Medrano has conducted investigations involving conduct in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Medrano served in the United States Army Reserve as a combat medic and physical fitness trainer.

Recent Highlights

• In 2008, Mr. Medrano was seconded to a major pharmaceutical client to assist its international investigations group.
• Represented a leading US intermodal logistics company in an ICC arbitration based in Mexico City, Mexico.
