Julia Zhu is an associate of the Allan Law Group and a member of its International Law and China Practice. Ms. Zhu was a former judge in China. She counsels clients on intellectual property, corporate law and litigation matters in China and the U.S.

Recently, Ms. Zhu assists US Companies through the litigation and Intellectual Property protection process in China.  She assists clients on Intellectual Property issues in China by working with counsel in China on identifying, reporting, and closing down copyright, trademark and patent infringers.

Ms. Zhu's legal experience in China and the United States has given her a unique insight into the legal and investment communities in both of the world's most critical economies. Her extensive experience in international corporate and commercial transactions has allowed Ms. Zhu to develop a distinctive track record.

Experience:

• Prior to graduating from one of China's most prestigious law schools and passing the Chinese Judge's Exam in 1999 Ms. Zhu began her legal career as Judicial Clerk in the Nanjing Gulou District Court. As a Judicial Clerk Ms. Zhu was involved in judging all kinds of business, civil and criminal cases.
  
• While subsequently employed as an associate at Jiangsu Nanjing Ma Jian Law Firm, Ms. Zhu specialized in civil litigation, corporation, foreign investment as well as mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Zhu drafted legal memorandum, court motions, appellate briefs and contracts. Ms. Zhu also advised private and public companies as well as individuals on numerous legal issues facing Chinese businesses.
  
• As an associate of Brinkman Portillo in Los Angeles CA, Ms. Zhu provided counseling, litigation and corporate services in a range of practice areas including bankruptcy, real estate, international business, securities, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property protection, corporate finance and venture capital.
