Jeremy (Jerry) Marr is a counsel in the Technology Transactions and Licensing Practice group. He joined the firm in 2005.

Practice

Mr. Marr's practice focuses on advising clients on technology transactions and licensing matters in the life sciences, information technology, electronics and entertainment sectors. Mr. Marr negotiates and advises clients on collaboration, joint venture, development, outsourcing, coproduction, distribution, license and service arrangements. Mr. Marr has also provided general corporate advice and represented clients in venture capital financings, securities offerings, lift outs, and mergers and acquisitions.

Organizations that Mr. Marr has counseled include: Bristol-Myers Squibb; Becton, Dickinson & Company; A123 Systems; TransTech Pharma; Altus Pharmaceuticals; Novartis; From the Top; Hydra Biosciences; Danaher Corporation; PTC Therapeutics; Wyeth and Netezza.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Marr held senior management positions in international sales, marketing, services and engineering at public and private companies in the software industry.

• Represented Achillion Pharmaceuticals in carbapenem compound collaboration with FOB Synthesis for treatment of bacterial infections
• Represented Bottomline Technologies in its acquisition of the PayMode^® business from Bank of America
• Represented Icagen in ion channel-focused therapeutics alliance with Pfizer for pain and related disorders
• Represented Alnylam Pharmaceuticals in drug-device collaboration with MedTronic for treatment of central nervous system diseases using RNAi therapeutics delivered by implantable infusion pump

Professional Activities

Mr. Marr is an adjunct professor of law at Boston College Law School.

Mr. Marr is a member of the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.
