Marans, Jon D.

Jon D. Marans graduated with high distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in 1997 and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, a national honor society. After serving as a Legislative Assistant in the Pennsylvania Senate, Mr. Marans attended the Villanova University School of Law, where he was selected to serve as Managing Editor of Student Works of the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and was elected to the law school's Honor Board. Upon graduating from law school magna cum laude in 2002, Mr. Marans was elected by the faculty to the Order of the Coif, the law school's highest honor.

Mr. Marans' practice focuses on the representation of businesses and business people in general corporate and business-related matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, business formation, contract drafting, real estate, finance, intellectual property transactions, venture capital debt and equity matters, risk management, succession planning and general business counseling. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Marans is active in the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program and in Organ Donors are Heroes, a regional organ and tissue donation organization affiliated with Gift of Life. In addition to his community activities, he has participated in multiple educational presentations, including lecturing entrepreneurs on corporate structure, asset protection and other business law issues.

In 2005, 2006, and again in 2011, Mr. Marans was selected as a "Rising Star" by Philadelphia Magazine's "Pennsylvania Super Lawyers."
