Shahid I. Malik is a Founding Managing Member of Perez & Malik, PLLC. Shahid earned a B.S. Degree in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin in 2004 and then earned his Juris Doctor Degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas where he served as a Staff Writer for The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Minority Issues. Prior to co-founding Perez & Malik, PLLC, Shahid served as an Associate Attorney for a large Immigration Law Firm in San Antonio, Texas. He also served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") as well as for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Texas, Appellate Division for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Shahid practices primarily in the Business Immigration section at Perez & Malik, PLLC. He focuses on both non-immigrant and immigrant business visa issues, as well as advising companies regarding their immigration compliance policies and procedures. Shahid represents clients in a variety of industries including as technology and consulting, retail, energy, engineering and construction, restaurants, religious organizations, and start-up companies. He assists companies in obtaining all types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas for their employees, including permanent residency through extraordinary ability, multinational manager/executive, national interest waivers, as well as through labor certification/PERM.

Shahid is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a Charter Member of the Immigration & Nationality Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and member of the San Antonio Bar Association. Shahid is fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
