Ms. Willis represents employers and employment liability insurance carriers in traditional employment-related litigation. Her expertise enables her to deliver effective and efficient counsel in the defense of local and national clients against claims involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and adherence to federal and state statutes. Ms. Willis routinely advises employers on day-to-day employment issues, including guiding clients through investigations conducted internally, or by the EEOC and the Department of Labor. In addition to her employment practice, Ms. Willis has achieved favorable results in professional and product liability suits.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Ms. Willis enjoyed a brief semi-professional and International soccer career prior to joining the practice of law. She attended Princeton University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and published her senior thesis in one of the nation's leading psychology journals, Psychological Science. Ms. Willis attained her law degree from Emory University School of Law in addition to earning a certificate in Transactional Law & Practice. While at Emory Law, Ms. Willis was awarded the Dean's Public Service Award and received special recognition for her contribution of over 75 hours of pro bono services during the course of her studies.
Ms. Willis continues to be engaged in pro bono and civic activities, providing mentorship and other community support through the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, Emory Law School, and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys.
