Liou, Lisa

Ms. Lilly practice concentrates in the defense of insurance class action litigation. She has defended numerous nationwide and statewide class actions involving claims adjusting practices, stacking, uninsured motorist coverage and homeowner's coverage at the trial and appellate levels. She has represented, among others, Allstate Insurance Company, Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company, St. Paul Travelers, Country Companies and Horace Mann Insurance Companies.

Ms. Lilly also concentrates in real estate related litigation, including claims brought under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Practices Act. She has represented, among others, Meritage Mortgage Corporation, First Franklin Federal Financial Corporation, Sebring Capital Corporation and American Home Mortgage.

Previously, Ms. Lilly spent six years as a litigation paralegal with Robert W. Karr & Associates, Ltd., a firm that concentrated in plaintiff's medical malpractice and personal injury actions. She also served a fellowship with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and an externship with the ACLU.

Ms. Lilly is a member of the bar of Illinois and of the Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois. She is on the Board of Directors of the Women's Bar Foundation and is a member of the WBF's Former Scholarship Recipients' Council. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Blue Sky Inn, a non-profit organization devoted to helping homeless youth take part in artistic, educational and cultural activities.
