Levitt, Martin J.

After working for the firm as a law clerk for both of his summers during law school, John joined Fraser Stryker in 2007 as an associate. John focuses his practice on business and corporate law with a concentration on providing counsel to the firm's telecommunications clients. In particular, John works with the firm's regional, national, and international clients on day-to-day contract negotiations and drafting, including telecommunications-specific agreements and general commercial agreements. His practice also includes developing and managing compliance programs and corporate governance practices for the firm's clients, specifically assisting with the navigation of the various anti-bribery laws and regulations to which the firm's clients are subject, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act. John has also participated in numerous acquisitions and divestures for which he drafted and negotiated the agreements memorializing the transactions and managed the due diligence process related to these transactions. John represents clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to multi-national corporations.

John completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University in 2003, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in psychology. While at Yale, he was a member of the varsity men's soccer team and earned four varsity letters during his career. John then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2007, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.

John is actively involved in the Omaha community through his service as a member of the steering committee for Kicks for a Cure and as a co-founder of the Friends of Kicks for a Cure group. He also assists with the Halfway to St. Patrick's day event benefiting Project Harmony and with the Buildable Hours Project for Habitat for Humanity.
