David Latanick was born and attended public schools in Cleveland (Parma), Ohio. He never returned there, first moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, then to Columbus, Ohio in the mid-1970's. Between college and law school, in the early 197O's, he volunteered for the United States Army, serving most of his hitch as a Private First Class on a missile ordnance base in Okinawa, Japan. He returned to Ohio to complete law school at the Ohio State University. David is a founding partner of the firm, and spent twenty years involved in class action litigation advancing the rights of people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. He practices principally in the areas of small business, education law and professional associations. He has been married forever to Maureen, a private practice dietitian. They have three sons, and live in Columbus, Ohio with a large brown dog named Copper. David has volunteered for many years as an ESP teacher with the Spanish speaking community in Columbus. When not at the firm, he is in a kayak, on a forest trail or in the mountains.
