Kounoupis, George S.

Shawn Kollie was born and raised here in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from high school, Shawn attended Oregon State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Finance, with a minor in Philosophy. During Shawn’s final year at Oregon State he worked at Stoel Rives where he began to gain an appreciation for the law. Upon graduation from Oregon State, Shawn attended the University of Oregon School Of Law.

During Shawn’s second year of Law School, he worked as a law clerk for the Corbridge & Short Law Group primarily in criminal defense. As a third year law student, Shawn began an internship with the Lane County Public Defender’s Office holding his own caseload and helping many clients. Shawn finished his time at the University Of Oregon School Of Law with an internship in Fred Meyer’s In-House Counsel. While interning as corporate counsel, Shawn worked primarily in the areas of land use, contracts, and trademarks. Spending time in a corporate law setting helped create a well-rounded, solid education. Now Shawn works for the Short Law Group, P.C. helping good people through difficult situations.
