Daniel de Luca is a founding member of Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton. Mr. de Luca's practice focuses on large-loss property subrogation: investigating losses, prosecuting and negotiating cases, educating clients and trade groups, and lecturing on recovery-related topics throughout the United States and abroad. He is particularly active in the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP), regularly presenting on important topics at that organization's national and regional conferences. Notably, Mr. de Luca was the keynote speaker at NASP's First Annual Litigation Skills Conference in 2006, and the Property Track Coordinator for its 2008 Litigation Skills Conference. He also holds a co-chair position on NASP's Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter committee, and is a member of the editorial committee of NASP's magazine, Subrogator.
After law school, Mr. de Luca worked as a forensic investigator for a private contractor, assisting the U.S. State Department's advocacy before the U.S./Iran Claims Tribunal at The Hague. He thereafter worked at Philadelphia and New Jersey law firms handling insurance-related matters including coverage/fraud, subrogation, and premises/products liability, as well as employment law and commercial litigation cases. In his career, he has tried numerous cases to verdict, and has argued before state and federal appellate courts several times.
Mr. de Luca serves as NLdH's partner in charge of human resources matters, and is the Practice Group Leader of the firm's Recovery Department, which encompasses its Property and Workers' Compensation Subrogation Practices.
