Susan is a shareholder in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. She is based in our Minneapolis office and is a member of the Business Litigation Section. Susan's primary practice areas include:

• Commercial litigation and arbitration
• Labor and employment litigation and arbitration
• Advertising and marketing law, promotions and sweepstakes
• Food law and labeling

She is admitted to practice in Minnesota state and federal courts and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar associations.

Susan received her undergraduate degree summa cum laude in English and economics from The College of Saint Benedict. She received her law degree with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, and clerked for Judge Roger L. Wollman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Susan joined Briggs in 1998, later working as in-house counsel for General Mills, where she practiced promotions, marketing, advertising and sweepstakes law and litigation. She rejoined Briggs in 2004.
