Michael is a lifelong resident of Ohio, who completed his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and graduated from Capital University (cum laude) in 1984. Since law school graduation, he has dedicated his practice solely to the areas of representing injured workers in Ohio Workers Compensation claims and Social Security disability claims.
Previously a partner in the law firm of Colasurd and Colasurd Co. LPA and a solo practitioner, he later joined with attorney Janice Kennedy to form the firm of Kennedy and Colasurd Co. LPA. Janice Kennedy (now retired) had similarly focused her practice solely on representing injured workers in Workers Compensation and Social Security disability claims. The combined law firms focused years of dedication to the rights of injured workers.
That dedication continues today as Michael represents claimant's interests at every level of the Industrial Commission on every issue, has argued numerous cases before the Court of Appeals, and has argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court which are still cited as precedent. Michael does not accept employment from employers or insurance companies.
