Jerry Edwards’ practice involves bankruptcy, municipal law and litigation. His litigation practice includes a variety of areas with an emphasis in land use, premises liability and personal injury.
He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Georgia State University in 2002 and his law degree from Vermont Law School in 2005, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and President of the Student Bar Association. Before joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Edwards clerked for the Honorable Judges Scott J. Crichton and Jeanette G. Garrett of the First Judicial District Court of Louisiana.
Mr. Edwards is currently a member of the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana. He is also active in several civic and professional organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Volunteers of America of North Louisiana and the Board of Directors of the Coalition for Louisiana Progress, Inc. He is currently the District Eight Representative to the LSBA Young Lawyers Division Council and a Barrister in the Harry V. Booth-Judge Henry A. Politz American Inn of Court.
Mr. Edwards is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Shreveport-Bossier Black Lawyers Association, the Shreveport Bar Association and the Louisiana, American and Federal Bar Associations. Mr. Edwards was recently selected for inclusion in Louisiana’s Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars for the year 2012.
