Mr. Becker, who is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colgate University, received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law. He was the Managing Attorney of a federally funded legal service office for six years, and for more than five years he served as Associate Counsel of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc., representing plaintiffs in complex public interest and civil rights litigation. Mr. Becker represented management in litigation and counseling in a wide variety of areas related to employment. Mr. Becker currently handles all aspects of employment related litigation as well as labor related matters. He also represents clients in arbitration and mediations and has served as a trainer in mediation skills. Mr. Becker served as Chairman of the Civil Rights Committee of the New York State Bar Association from 1985 to 1988 and Co-Chair, Committee on Pro Bono and Public Interest, Commercial and Federal Litigation Section, from 2006 to 2008. He is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the National Employment Lawyers' Association.
