Ignacio Barbero was born in Dallas, TX on May 15, 1970. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern University in 1992, with a double major in Economics and Political Science.
Ignacio received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1995 from Texas Tech School of Law. While at Texas Tech, he competed in mock trial, moot court, and successfully completed and internship with the legal division of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Ignacio also spent a summer studying International and Comparative Law at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico.
Upon graduating from law school, Ignacio practiced personal injury litigation and asbestos litigation in Dallas before joining Bishop & Hummert in 2003. Ignacio is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Ignacio is fluent in Spanish
