Mark, a graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, has been practicing law since 1984. His father and grandfather worked on the docks. In addition he is a third generation attorney and a second generation Worker's Compensation practitioner. He has represented workers injured in the course of their employment before the United States Department of Labor, pursuant to the provisions of The Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, The Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities Act, The Defense Base/War Hazards Compensation Act and at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, pursuant to the provisions of the California Labor Code.
He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Central District in July of 1984; the U.S. Court of Appeals in February of 1985; and the U.S. Supreme Court in May of 1989. He is a California State Bar certified workers' compensation specialist.
Associations include: Member, Board of Directors, California Applicant's Attorney's Association, 1995 to date; President, California Applicant's Attorney's Association, Harbor Chapter 1995 -1996; Board of Directors, Workplace Injury Litigation Group to date; President, Long Beach Bar Association, Worker's Compensation Section 2000 -2001.
Mark is a member of: California State Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Long Beach Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Trial Lawyer's Association.
Mark was named a "Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyer's Magazine in 2006.
Mark is married and has one daughter starting law school in the fall of 2012.
