Alpert, Randy S

Michael Thad Allen joined Todd & Weld as an associate in 2011.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Allen was a clerk for the Hon. Ralph Gants of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. 

Mr. Allen graduated from the Yale Law School in 2010. Mr. Allen changed careers after working as an associate professor of German history at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.  He received a BA from Whitman College in 1987 and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. 

Mr. Allen is the author of numerous articles and two books on the history of the Holocaust, including The Business of Genocide (2002) and The Limits of Lex Americana: The Holocaust Restitution Litigation as a Cul-de-Sac of International Human-Rights Law.  17 Widener Law Rev. 1 (2011). He is fluent in German and Spanish.
