Christopher Alliotts received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Boston University in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1990. Following his graduation from law school, he served a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Marilyn Morgan, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of California.
Mr. Alliotts is a member of both the California and New York bars. He has practiced bankruptcy and commercial law in both jurisdictions over the past twenty years. His diverse practice focuses on the representation of debtors, creditors' committees and trustees in all types and sizes of business cases. Mr. Alliotts is unique in his current practice in the Central Coast of California in that he is the only local Attorney to have solely practiced bankruptcy law, representing both creditors and debtors, and have served under a Federal Judge in U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court.
Mr. Alliotts is the author of certain articles, including Forms of Action: A Primer on Bankruptcy Practice and Procedure, Norton Bankruptcy Law & Practice (2d ed. 1993), The Evolving Standards and Applications of the Doctrine of Equitable Subordination, 8:1 Cal. Bus. L. News 11 (Winter 1993), and Protecting Retirement Plans, 2:4 Asset Protection 35 (March/April 1997). In addition, he has been counsel of record for several published opinions, including In re M. Blackburn Mitchell, Inc., 164 B.R. 117 (Bankr. N.D. Cal. 1994), In re Wu, 173 B.R. 411 (Bankr. 9th Cir. 1994), In re Gonzalez, 241 B.R. 67 (Bankr. S.D.N.Y. 1999). He has also traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Europe and is highly proficient in both Spanish and Portuguese.
