Daniel was born in Chicago, Illinois and was admitted to the bar of the State of California, as well as the United States District Court for the Central District of California, in 1996. He has been a member of the state bar of Nevada since 2007. Dan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University in 1987 and his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University of Law in 1996. While at Southwestern, Dan was involved in trial advocacy and received the American Board of Trial Advocates' Outstanding Advocate Award. Dan is a member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, State Bar of California and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. Dan has lived and worked in Japan for four years and is proficient in the language.
