Chris is a shareholder in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. He practices principally in the areas of:
Chris’ experience includes first and second chair litigation responsibilities, including management of fact and expert discovery, dispositive and nondispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal. As a patent litigator, Chris has represented multinational corporations and individual inventors, as both plaintiffs and defendants. His clients have spanned several industries, including computer software, computer peripherals, orthopedic devices, dental composites and adhesives, roadway maintenance compounds, automotive repair and maintenance devices, snowmobile parts and accessories, and golf course maintenance equipment, among others.
Chris is admitted to practice in Minnesota state and federal courts, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. He also is and has been admitted
pro hac vice in several U.S. district courts. He is a member of the Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association, where he has served on multiple committees. He is also involved with the Innocence Project of Minnesota. Chris has had articles recently published in two European publications, as well as
The Hennepin Lawyer. He also has been recognized by
Minnesota Law & Politics as a “Rising Star.”
Chris received his B.A. in management and entrepreneurship,
magna cum laude, from Buena Vista University. He received his J.D.
with honors from the University of Iowa College of Law.
