Yeager, Carl Gary

Joe E. ("Matt") Mathews, Jr. is an associate in the litigation department of the firm. He is a native of Statesboro, Georgia. Mr. Mathews attended the University of Miami in Miami, Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs and Policy in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs and Policy in 2007.

Upon earning his graduate degree, Mr. Mathews attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor graduating cum laude in 2010 with a Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Mathews participated in the University of Florida Conservation Clinic and authored an article in the Seagrant Law and Policy Journal on the Jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act. After receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. Mathews served as Conservation Fellow at the University of Florida’s Conservation Clinic working with state fisheries regulations.

Mr. Mathews is a member of the State Bars of Georgia and Florida.
