Wolff, Robert H.

John is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (B.S. Pre-Law), Fordham University School of Law (Juris Doctor) and the United States Naval Justice School.  He is a member of the New York State Bar.

He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, attended the Marine Corps Basic School at Quantico, Virginia and graduated from the Naval Justice School at Newport, Rhode Island. While on active duty, he served in the Office of the Judge Advocate General until his honorable discharge from active service as a Captain.

John has practiced law for more than 40 years.  Over this period, he was admitted to practice in all New York State Courts as well as federal trial and appellate courts and the United States Court of Military Appeals. He has considerable litigation and appellate experience and currently concentrates his practice in the fields of real estate, estate and trust law, elder law, and legal and medical ethics.  He has advised and counseled both domestic and international clients.

He has been a member of local, state and national bar associations as well as having held membership in the International Association of Financial Planners.  He has taught at the collegiate level at East Carolina College (Political Science), Westchester Community College (Business Law) and Mercy College (Paralegal Program- Probate, Trusts and Estates), and lectured in his areas of expertise at Fordham and Notre Dame Law Schools, the Practicing Law Institute and a variety of other venues including bar associations, professional and civic groups. He was selected to be a principal speaker at the American Bar Association meeting in Toronto on the subject of financial planning for professionals.  In addition, he has conducted seminars on a variety of estate planning subjects and authored articles for professional publications.

John has served at all levels of government (local to federal) in a variety of capacities including associate counsel at the  New York State Constitutional Convention, village attorney, deputy town attorney, assistant counsel to a New York State legislator, International Affairs Officer at the Federal Maritime Commission and Consultant to the Agency for International Development at the Department of State.  In the private sector, he was Manager of Government and Public Affairs for a Fortune 100 company. 
John was the founder, principal shareholder and President of the International Planning Group, Ltd. head-quartered in Greenwich, Connecticut with correspondent offices in New York City and London.  IPG was a financial advisory firm providing a range of financial services including the preparation of financial plans utilizing artificial intelligence and supervising the implementation of these plans with financial products.  IPG’s clients included members of the bench and bar. 

He has been a member of Rotary for more than three decades and presently is a board member and officer of the Rotary Club of Rhinebeck, New York.  He was formerly a member and Past- President of the White Plains Rotary Club and several other Rotary Clubs in Westchester County.  In addition, he has served on the boards of several not-for-profit corporations and is currently a member of his local American Legion Post and the Dutchess County Veterans Affairs Committee.
