Zach Wolfe has over 15 years of experience representing clients in a broad range of business litigation matters. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Zach has handled litigation matters involving diverse business sectors including the energy, securities, real estate, software, and semiconductor industries. His recent practice areas include securities litigation, intellectual property claims, and commercial disputes in the energy industry.
These are some of the results Zach has helped obtain for clients:
- Tried case against major semiconductor company in federal court and obtained award of full amount of damages. Successfully presented complicated accounting issues through client and expert within seven-hour time limit.
- Obtained jury verdict and judgment against apartment complex developers who repudiated their guaranties of a real estate loan. Later collected most of the judgment despite apparent insolvency of defendants.
- Won trial for commercial landlord in tenant’s suit claiming lost profits from alleged breach of lease.
- Prevailed in trial against high-end home seller who disputed commission owed to real estate broker.
- Served as key member of team defending foreign bank and its affiliates against multi-million dollar investor claims for alleged violations of the Texas Securities Act and other torts. Defense team obtained dismissal of state court action in trial court, dismissal of second state court suit in Court of Appeals, and favorable settlement in final suit filed in federal district court.
- Worked on team defending parallel multi-million dollar fraudulent transfer and RICO claims asserted by bankruptcy trustee and investor claims trustee in bankruptcy court and federal district court. Defendants obtained partial dismissal of bankruptcy case and settled both cases while interlocutory appeal of district court case was pending in the Fifth Circuit.
- Enforced non-compete against former employee of software company. Case settled promptly after deposition where employee was surprised by documents recovered from laptop.
- Sued pharmaceutical company and its CEO for breach of contract and related torts. Obtained favorable settlement after taking deposition of CEO.
- Assisted as local counsel in patent infringement cases in the Western District and Eastern District of Texas.

Zach also enjoys writing and speaking on important legal developments. He has written articles and given presentations on diverse litigation topics including insurance law, securities litigation, and spoliation of electronically stored information. During law school, he was a member of the journal The Review of Litigation.
Zach is also a co-founder of the Thomas A. Caswell and Rebeca Diaz Caswell Memorial Scholarship Foundation, a scholarship program for band students. He regularly takes calls for the Houston Bar Association’s “Legal Line” program and handles pro bono cases including family law, landlord-tenant, and consumer matters.
Zach and his wife Rebecca have been married since 1999 and have two children. They are members of Bayou City Fellowship. Zach recently completed his second half marathon and enjoys coaching youth soccer and basketball.
