I believe my background, educationally and professionally, has led me to the creation of this law firm.

After receiving a bachelor of science degree in psychology and working for several years as a case manager for a family homeless shelter, I discovered Marriage and Family Therapy and was fascinated by this new, holistic and systemic approach to helping families in crisis, so I entered into a master's program. I earned my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2006 from Nova Southeastern University. I then worked for some time as a Family Therapist and learned the important role that professionals, such as therapists and attorneys play when dealing with families in crisis.

I later took a position as Director of Parenting and Juvenile Programs for a local forensic counseling agency. In this position, I completely restructured and rebuilt these two programs. I also collaborated with other agencies, as well as the dependency and delinquency courts, and ran all of the groups and parenting and adolescent assessments. Much of my work here focused on teen and parenting issues. I gained invaluable exposure to the court systems and local judges and learned about the inner workings of our family law legal system.

It was for this reason I decided to complete law school. During my last year of law school, I wrote a grant and was selected as a prestigious Equal Justice Works Fellow. In this position I founded the Broward Teen Advocacy Project (BTAP), which was housed at Coast to Coast Legal Aid. As the attorney in charge of BTAP, I assisted nearly 200 individuals with all of their family law needs. My focus during this time was on Paternity, Custody, Divorce and Domestic, Dating, Repeat and Sexual Violence.

As this project came to an end, I recognized an opportunity to start a law firm that carries on the traditions I learned through my career in public service - helping people and families in need by providing quality legal representation to individuals at an affordable costs. Being a mom myself, I understand that when working with families in need of legal assistance, it is not business as usual – this is your life – as such I assure you your case will be my priority!
