Originally from Rochester, New York, I attended the University of Florida and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1996. Afterwards, I started working at a consulting firm. I then decided I wanted to go to law school. So I packed my bags and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend Vanderbilt University.
I received my law degree in 2001 and accepted a position with Dickstein Shapiro, LLP, in Washington, DC. At Dickstein Shapiro, I worked primarily on Patent Litigation. In 2004, I joined Paulson & Nace, a personal injury law firm in Washington, D.C. I represented clients in personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability cases and found that I enjoyed it. Since then I relocated to Houston to work at Kennedy Hodges LLP.
