Tony Marick's practice focuses on all aspects of business and corporate law, from start up ventures to publicly held companies.  He advises clients on corporate structure and governance, corporate finance, securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and executive employment and compensation issues.  He supervises all aspects of his client's legal needs, providing executive advice to clients and their Boards of Directors.  Mr. Marick also represents numerous wealthy families and has significant experience with related estate planning, inter-generational, and family business issues, including issues related to wealth management, intra-family disputes, and business transitions.

Mr. Marick's work with emerging and privately held companies includes advice on capital raising efforts (including venture capital and private placements), as well as appropriate governance arrangements between owners and investors.  Mr. Marick has worked extensively with pre-IPO and publicly held companies, representing issuers and selling shareholders in public and private offerings (including real estate syndications).  He has also represented buyers and sellers in many varied transactions, including asset sales, tax free reorganizations, and acquisitions or divestures of divisions.  

Although Mr. Marick represents clients across all industries, he has worked extensively with start up companies, including those in technology, medical, and health care.  Mr. Marick also represents marketing and media related businesses, as well as software developers and companies developing web based or mobile application product offerings.  In addition, Mr. Marick represents commercial lenders, real estate developers, franchisors, and franchisees.  Mr. Marick is certified by the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) and serves as Designated Counsel for the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Mr. Marick also has significant experience with disputes between majority and minority shareholders.  He served as lead counsel for one of the largest minority shareholder claims in the country, involving a multi-billion dollar privately held company.

Mr. Marick has served as an officer, director, or advisory board member for a number of profit and non-profit corporations.  He currently serves on the Planning Commission for the City of Maple Grove, one of the fastest growing suburbs of Minneapolis.
