Jeff was born, raised and graduated high school in Great Falls, Montana. He graduated from the University of Montana with high honors in English in 1993. He attended law school at the University of Montana, graduating with high honors in 1996. He then went to the University of Florida where he was a Graduate Editor of the Florida Tax Review. He earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in taxation in 1997. Jeff joined the Great Falls law firm of Church, Harris, Johnson & Williams, where he practiced until 2007, when he changed the focus of his practice to helping injured people, and joined what is now Hartelius, Durocher & Winter, PC. Jeff has a wife and two sons. He is active in the community, serving on the boards of multiple charitable and civic organizations, as well as an avid outdoorsman.
