Thomas J. Marcoz, Jr. joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in June of 2003 as an associate in the Health Care Liability Practice Group.
Since January of 2008, Thomas has been a faculty instructor at the University of Delaware, where he teaches a Health Law module for students who are interested in beginning careers as Legal Nurse Consultants. The class focuses on all aspects of Health Law civil litigation, from the inception of a case, through discovery and to its ultimate conclusion. The class also deals with federal laws and regulations, including Stark laws, HIPAA, anti-kickback, and Medicare fraud and abuse.
Thomas received his B.S.N. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing in 1998. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002. In November of 2002, he joined the firm of Davies, McFarland & Carroll, P.C. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as an associate in their medical/dental malpractice group.
