Jarrel L. Wigger was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, May 12, 1963 and grew up in Anderson, South Carolina. He has a B.A. Degree from the Citadel and earned his J.D. Degree at Wake Forest University. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1988; United States Court of Military Appeals, 1991; United States District Court, 1992; United States Supreme Court in 1996; and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in 2002. He is a member of the Board of Governors, Workers' Compensation Claimant's Attorneys Association Nominating Committee, South Carolina Workers' Compensation Claimant's Attorneys' Association, American Association for Justice, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, Speakers Bureau (1995); Medical Legal Liaison Committee (1996). He was named to Who's Who in American Law and was Board Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum a group formed to recognize attorneys with a case in excess of a million dollars. He served as a Navy Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1988 to 1992 and tried cases in Bahrain, Panama, Puerto Rico and Cuba. He is married to Rose Wigger and has two children, a daughter, Amy and a son, Jordan.
